365 Days of Calligraphy: Month 12

December’s calligraphy was about experimenting outside my norms. I used calligraphy on found objects other than paper, experimented with different writing medium, and played with some new toys I got for the holidays.

Calligraphy doesn’t have to be pen and paper. After all, the word “kalli” is Greek for beautiful; or as Merriam Webster defines it, calligraphy is the art of making beautiful handwriting. I find that trying out new medium helps to remind a writer that the tool is only as good the person who wields it.
