Women in Wireless Redesign

Women in Wireless is an organization to help connect women in the wireless community to network and grow in the industry. For this project, I volunteered to help with the redesign of the site, which was using a WordPress template.

For the design, I worked around the brand guideline which was clean and minimal with purple as one of their main colors.

The old design also used a WordPress template. I worked with a developer to create a wireframe that matched the template while keeping the proper hierarchy based on business needs.

After the wireframe, I created a style tile that helped to set up a typography scale with correct color patterns and animation effects that are consistent throughout the site. New icons and design motifs are also introduced specifically for the website to better match the brand. In the new design, I also looked for images that would work better to compel users to view the site than a purple block with text. Sections for sponsorships and events are better defined and laid easier for users to navigate.

Part of the update also included redesigning and coding a responsive email template.
