A Look at The Contemplative Gaze Logo

The task of creating The Contemplative Gaze logo included finding the right typography and color combination that would best work for the client.

The company is a single person entity offering resources for personal and group spiritual using a contemplative method of viewing art as the catalyst for engagement. The concept of “looking” drove the project with the concept of the “eye”. I also wanted to include seeing beyond and before to really understand the now.

I presented some research of eye logos to the client for further direction.

After the client selected some logos she liked, we started down a defined exploration around those logos.

Iterations

The client finally chose the idea of the Möbius strip which is has many symbolism related to a reality that can’t be a reality but is. I loved that concept a lot, especially in regards to religion. So thus, this logo really emphasizes more than just looking.
